CLAN!

Its 4 days to christmas! Nothing says christmas, more than a fiery red mini jumpsuit!

I collaborated with CLAN, a Nigerian based label, to bring you this look. CLAN, has amazing ready to wear pieces, perfect for any occasion. I was delighted to share a piece from their Tarsus 2016 Collection. Lots more at clan_diaries on instagram.
A brown smokey look, an asymmetric afro and just the right amount of skin, perfect to celebrate the festivities.
I also have a video up on this whole look at LeazzWay. Wearing a CLAN Jumpsuit, Gold Jewelry, and Office Heels.

Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2015

I love sharing moments I have in Nigeria, mostly because you all seem to miss Nigeria and are living vicariously through me from your various locations.
This year I was fortunate enough to attend Lagos Fashion & Design Week for the first time. It was such a thrill each day, seeing some of the designers, creatives I look up to. Yup, tons of fan girl moments.
There were  amazingly talented individuals, some of my favs include Orange Culture, Sophie Zinga, Maki Oh, Akpos Okudu and more on Blanck.. It was a 4 day event that was so inspiring and definitely worth every minute of it. I can not wait for next years event.
I shared more of my looks at lfdw on Style Vitae
and  made a short vlog of the whole week, Hope you enjoy it on LeazzWay.

Love,
Whitney.

More Than Simple

For a while now, I have pretty much fallen for scarves being around my neck rather than on my head, as usual. Its my new styling technique for any outfit I find "too simple". It always takes that look to an extra level that I love. I am currently shopping for more scarves to add to my collection. I buy from random stores, street markets or popular stores like Zara, Tie rack etc. Oh, and I really love shoulder length bobs! Super sexy and feminine. My entire ensemble consists of an Old Navy Tank Top, Old Navy Jeans, Tie Rack Scarf, Next Belt and Bank Heels.

Love,
Whitney.

Transitions

With fall comes change. It is a new era and as much as I hate the cold days embarking on us, the wardrobe change can be quite refreshing.
I have recently been conflicted with dyeing and cutting my hair - all at the same time, anything to give me a different look is always fun for me. I have pushed such dreams forward and will not be doing so anytime soon, I hope. For now,Maidson-Reed has a great range of colours to help with my decision when I am set to go.
I would usually buy a new key piece item to style through out fall, like a coat, turtleneck, jumper etc but this year, in returning to Nigeria to further my studies, I do not need fall items. Unless I do not mind burning under our 24°c weather just to rock my fav Zara  winter coat. Instead of new items for fall, I have stuck to one of my faves for fall - Thigh High Boots.
For a quick run around town with family, I wore my Next boots, T.M Lewin mens office shirt, Therapy leather jacket and my hair pinned up from a shoot I had the other day. For a behind the scenes of my shoot, check LeazzWay.
Besides the ogling eyes of strangers walking past me, the weather was just perfect.

                                                                      Love,
                                                                            Whitney.

21!

In my recent Youtube upload, I share my last few moments in Bwari, Abuja. I celebrated my 21st birthday during the stressful week  of  exams- on the 9th  of September,  I was  left with a wonderful gift of  writing my criminal law exam.
As part of our strict dressing code of  black and white, with no shimmer;shine;leather and anything that allows you to play around with such a strict color code, I resorted to cinching my Mango skirt with a random belt, pairing it with a Primark vest and  Zara  heels.
Roof top views and shooting with my friend,  Akinnola.

                                                                   Love,
                                                                         Whitney.

Art!

As my last post celebrates  my graduation, I have been absent  for so long due to the change that comes with graduation  - moving back home. Home is Nigeria. I moved back in July, and started the hustle that is,  Law School.  Catch some of the action here. The first part of Law School for international students - Bar 1, is based in Abuja, Nigeria. I spent just 2 months out of the 3 month program, partly because I used a month to relax in England while waiting for my graduation.
I am now in Lagos, for Bar 2,  hopefully after passing my Bar 1 exams.
Here is a recap of my time in Abuja at The Thought Pyramid Art Exhibition. I spent the day with 2 of my lovely friends celebrating their  21st birthday - yup, Twins! It was my first time at an Art Exhibition, which is actually fun with great company.
Also, the 'paparazzi' situation I had with some keen photographers; resulted in these awesome pictures.

I have a vlog up of my time at the exhibition here.
My wardrobe for law school consists of black and white; I had to deal with the lack of colour in my suitcase for 2 months. Not sure how others wear monochrome colours for so long and survive, haha. Wearing a Monki Bodysuit; H&M Skirt and Public Desire Lace Up Shoes.

                                                              Love,
                                                                  Whitney.

                                                                    Love,
                                                                      Whitney.
