Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2015

I love sharing moments I have in Nigeria, mostly because you all seem to miss Nigeria and are living vicariously through me from your various locations.
This year I was fortunate enough to attend Lagos Fashion & Design Week for the first time. It was such a thrill each day, seeing some of the designers, creatives I look up to. Yup, tons of fan girl moments.
There were  amazingly talented individuals, some of my favs include Orange Culture, Sophie Zinga, Maki Oh, Akpos Okudu and more on Blanck.. It was a 4 day event that was so inspiring and definitely worth every minute of it. I can not wait for next years event.
I shared more of my looks at lfdw on Style Vitae
and  made a short vlog of the whole week, Hope you enjoy it on LeazzWay.

Love,
Whitney.

More Than Simple

For a while now, I have pretty much fallen for scarves being around my neck rather than on my head, as usual. Its my new styling technique for any outfit I find "too simple". It always takes that look to an extra level that I love. I am currently shopping for more scarves to add to my collection. I buy from random stores, street markets or popular stores like Zara, Tie rack etc. Oh, and I really love shoulder length bobs! Super sexy and feminine. My entire ensemble consists of an Old Navy Tank Top, Old Navy Jeans, Tie Rack Scarf, Next Belt and Bank Heels.

Love,
Whitney.

Transitions

With fall comes change. It is a new era and as much as I hate the cold days embarking on us, the wardrobe change can be quite refreshing.
I have recently been conflicted with dyeing and cutting my hair - all at the same time, anything to give me a different look is always fun for me. I have pushed such dreams forward and will not be doing so anytime soon, I hope. For now,Maidson-Reed has a great range of colours to help with my decision when I am set to go.
I would usually buy a new key piece item to style through out fall, like a coat, turtleneck, jumper etc but this year, in returning to Nigeria to further my studies, I do not need fall items. Unless I do not mind burning under our 24°c weather just to rock my fav Zara  winter coat. Instead of new items for fall, I have stuck to one of my faves for fall - Thigh High Boots.
For a quick run around town with family, I wore my Next boots, T.M Lewin mens office shirt, Therapy leather jacket and my hair pinned up from a shoot I had the other day. For a behind the scenes of my shoot, check LeazzWay.
Besides the ogling eyes of strangers walking past me, the weather was just perfect.

                                                                      Love,
                                                                            Whitney.
